Trabuco Hills water polo player Christina Doherty, one of the breakout players last season with an Orange County-leading 145 goals, is attending Santa Margarita, Eagles girls coach Brian Weathersby confirmed.
Doherty, a junior, will help soften Santa Margarita’s loss of Bella Baia transferring to Mater Dei.
Santa Margarita opens the season at Trabuco Hills on Dec. 5 but Doherty will be observing the CIF-SS sitout period for her transfer, Weathersby said.
