Touted linebackers Mase Funa of Santa Margarita and Solomon Tuliaupupu of Claremont have enrolled at Mater Dei, Monarchs football coach Bruce Rollinson confirmed Thursday.
Funa, a junior-to-be, played one season at Santa Margarita after arriving from Utah. Funa (6-1, 218) has been offered by BYU and Utah.
Tuliaupupu, a senior-to-be, is 6-foot-3, 210 pounds and one of the best class of 2018 prospects on the West Coast. He holds about 20 scholarship offers, including USC and UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan and Washington.
The duo will join forces with Mater Dei linebacker Jack Genova, another promising senior-to-be.
