Makenzie Fischer of Laguna Beach was one of three players with three goals and Sami Hill made eight saves as the U.S. women’s water polo team defeated Spain, 13-7, in semifinals of the Olympic Qualification Tournament in Gouda, Netherlands.
The Americans play Italy, a 9-7 winner against Russia, in the finals Monday.
Maddie Musselman of Newport Beach added two goals for Team USA, which went 9 for 12 on the power-play.
