The Sunset League Vs. Trinity League Baseball Challenge, begins Saturday with two games: Mater Dei at Los Alamitos, 10 a.m.; and Santa Margarita vs. Huntington Beach at Canyon High, noon.
Santa Margarita was CIF-Southern Section Division 1 champion in 2014. Huntington Beach won the D1 title in 2015.
It is a preseason event that continues Feb. 13 and 17. The season starts Feb. 27.
Feb. 13 — Marina at Servite, 11 a.m.; St. John Bosco at Newport Harbor, 11 a.m.
Feb. 17 — Edison at JSerra; Fountain Valley vs. Orange Lutheran at Hart Park (Orange), 6 p.m.
