San Clemente, the top-ranked team in the state according to Maxpreps, earned the No. 3 seed in Division 1 when the brackets were announced Sunday for the CIF Southern California Regional Boys Soccer Championships.

The Tritons (25-3-1), who lost to Loyola in the CIF-SS Division 1 championship match Saturday will play host to sixth-seeded Carlsbad (18-4-3) on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Reigning CIF-SS Division 3 champion Anaheim (15-6-6) is seeded seventh in Division 1 and will travel to Birmingham of Van Nuys (20-2-4) for the opening match of the regionals on Tuesday.

St, Margaret’s, which lost to Amino Leadership on penalty kicks in the CIF-SS Division 6 championship match, is seeded second in the Division 3 bracket. The Tartans (19-3) will play host to Sun Valley (14-3-1) today at 4 p.m.

The Division 1 championship match will be held at Warren High in Downey on Saturday at 6 p.m. The Division 3 championship match is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Warren High in Downey.
