How I voted on the Orange County top 10 today.
After having Mission Viejo at No. 1 the past few weeks, I returned Mater Dei to No. 1 on my ballot. Both teams are in the semifinals. Mater Dei has more impressive wins, including wins over six teams that have been in the state top 25 — most recently last week’s Pac-5 Division win over Serra of Gardena, which was No. 13 in the state at the time.
Also, Mater Dei beat Tesoro by 21 points. Mission Viejo beat Tesoro by six.
