Water polo: Mater Dei's Baron helps U.S. men qualify for World Cup

Mater Dei senior McQuin Baron made nine saves in his first national team start and ex-Corona del Mar center John Mann scored the winner with 2:05 left as the U.S. men's water polo team edged Canada, 8-7, at the Santa Ana YMCA to claim a spot in next year's FINA World Cup.

Mater Dei product Bret Bonanni, now at Stanford, also scored three goals for Team USA.
