Servite All-County quarterback Travis Waller and Cypress wide receiver/cornerback Quinten Pounds — two of the top seniors-to-be in county football — have added intriguing scholarship offers, their coaches reported Thursday.

Waller has been offered by Notre Dame while Pounds has been offered by Utah.

The Fighting Irish’s offer intrigues because they reportedly recently lost a pledge from a quarterback at Santiago of Corona. And Notre Dame’s offer validates that Waller has progressed considerably as passer since last season and that he is now a national recruit.

Meanwhile, Pounds’ list of Pac-12 offers continues to grow and the Utes’ offer only confirms his status as a major conference recruit.
