Santa Margarita wide receiver Dylan Crawford (6-1, 185), Orange County’s second-ranked class of 2016 recruit, has narrowed his list of potential colleges and targeted a time frame for his decision.

Crawford didn’t play at the recent Edison passing tournament (foot) but shared his top-10 schools: Arizona, Arizona State, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Stanford, Tennessee and Washington.

So in the breakdown, the senior-to-be is interested in seven Pac-12 schools, one SEC, one Big Ten and one ACC.

As for his decision, Crawford said: “I’ll probably get it down to five (schools) and then I’ll have a decision probably like second, third week of the season.”

He also recently attended The Opening in Beaverton, Ore. “It was good to see where I’m at,” Crawford said of the tough competition.

Crawford, a transfer from St. Francis, has moved residences, Eagles football coach Rick Curtis said at the Edison tournament, a step that could help be eligible for the start of the season.
