Stanford has landed another O.C. football standout.

Calling it his best “hard decision”, Mater Dei All-County wide receiver Osiris St. Brown (6-1, 178) committed to Stanford on Friday.

The senior-to-be picked the Cardinal over Notre Dame, where his brother, Equanimeous, plays wide receiver.

“Both schools are just so good,” Osiris said in a direct message on Twitter.

“I just always had this feeling ever since I first visited Stanford with my older brother a couple years ago. Ever since then I’ve loved it and after they offered, I took it more seriously.”

He added that the chance to play college football with Equanimeous, a former Servite standout, also made the decision difficult. “Playing with him would be a dream,” Osiris said.

In the class of 2016, Stanford signed Santa Margarita quarterback KJ Costello and Mater Dei linebacker Curtis Robinson.

Osiris and Equanimeous’ youngest brother, Amon-Ra, is a rising junior receiver at Mater Dei and has been offered by Stanford, Notre Dame, USC and Alabama among others.

In his announcement on Twitter, Osiris posted the phrase, “40 year decision”, a reference to the lifetime-long impact of a Stanford education. Osiris, who holds an overall 4.12 grade-point average, hasn’t decided on a major but is interested in computer science.

Osiris led Mater Dei last season with 43 receptions for 884 yards and 12 TDs. He averaged just over 20 yards per reception.
