Golden West College has hired Brea Olinda graduate and veteran collegiate assistant Matt Flesher as its women’s water polo coach, the community college announced.
Flesher has spent the past seven seasons at Cal, helping the Golden Bears’ women reach four NCAA tournaments. He was promoted to associate head coach after the 2010 season.
He also has served as a men’s and women’s assistant at UCLA, where he was a three-time All-American as a player.
Flesher replaces Mark Canner, the interim coach last season at Golden West College.
