Longtime Estancia boys water polo and swimming coach John Carpenter will retire this spring after 38 seasons, he confirmed.
He is one of the longest tenured aquatics coaches in Orange County.
Carpenter also will retire from teaching at the school.
Estancia races at Costa Mesa today in the teams’ annual Battle of the Bell swim meet. The Orange Coast League meet starts at 3 p.m.
