Woodbridge All-County swimmer and Irvine Novaquatics member Whitney Chang has committed to Army, the senior reports.
Chang, who raced on the Warriors’ winning 200-yard medley relay at the CIF-SS Division I finals in May, said in a direct message via Twitter that she committed to Army, “for the unparalleled education and awesome swim team and dedicated coaches.”
In individual races, Chang finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (54.70 seconds) at the CIF Division 1 finals and eighth in the 50 freestyle (24.09).
She also anchored the Warriors’ runner-up 400 free relay, which helped the Pacific Coast League champion take second in the Division 1 team race to Santa Margarita.
