Outlook: The top-seeded Timberwolves, who tied for fourth in the challenging Pacific Coast League, take on Citrus Belt League runner-up Yucaipa. The Thunderbird finished second in league to Division 3 semifinalist Redlands East Valley. Yucaipa went 0-2 against REV, dropping decisions, 9-6, and, 14-6. The Timberwolves are led by senior Joe Shaw, who has been one of Orange County’s top goal scorers with 145 goals. Sophomore Spencer Sellwood leads the team in assists (72) while freshman Max Abravanel paces Northwood in steals (79). Junior goalie Leon Shi has 273 saves for Northwood. The winner takes on the Royal-St. John Bosco winner in the finals Saturday.
