Tustin cornerback Treshon Broughton (6-0, 170) has grabbed his first scholarship offer: New Mexico State.
The rising senior-to-be also is attracting interest from UCLA, Colorado and Texas Tech among others, he said.
"Yeah, it's a very exciting time for me!" Broughton said in a text message Tuesday night.
Broughton also performed well at a recent camp at USC. He didn't allow a reception. He plans to attend a camp at Oregon this week.
A versatile performer, Broughton played tight end, wide receiver, running back, kicker, punter and holder last season for the CIF-SS Southwest Division champions. He recently cracked the OCVarsity recruiting rankings for 2013.
