Seniors Ashton Jajonie and Garrett Spruth combined for seven goals and goalie Nigel Bress made 11 saves as Corona del Mar’s No. 2 boys water polo team sprinted past visiting No. 8 Newport Harbor, 9-7, in the Battle of the Bay match Saturday night at a jam-packed and spirited Corona del Mar.
Goalie Nick Wood made 14 saves to lead Newport Harbor, which also got three goals from Clay Davison.
