Cameron Kaneko Marina He fired a 2-under 33 on Thursday Meadowlark Golf Club to help the Vikings beat Newport Harbor and clinch their first Sunset League championship in 20 years. He also shot a 3-under 32 in the Vikings’ victory against Edison at Meadowlark last week.

Chase Wheatley Corona del Mar High School He medaled or co-medaled in all three matches that the Sea Kings played to remain undefeated this season at 6-0. He was 3-under for the week after shooting a 2-under 33 at Newport Beach Country Club and a 2-under 34 at SeaCliff Country Club.

Derek Castillo Valencia High School The freshman golfer was 6-under par last week and medaled in all three of the Tigers’ matches. He shot a 2-under-par 35 at Alta Vista Country Club, a 2-under 34 at Black Gold Golf Course and a 2-under 34 at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.

Gordon Neale Tesoro He won the CIF-SS Southern Individual Regional last week at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach, shooting a 5-under-par 67.

Jack Ireland Tesoro He posted a 7-under 65 in the final round at San Clemente Municipal Golf Course to win the South Coast League Individual championship by five strokes with a 7-under 137.

Jacob Biss Mater Dei He shot a 1-under-par 34 on the front nine at Western Hills Country Club to help Mater Dei beat No. 1 Servite by 11 strokes in Chino Hills. It was the third consecutive match in which he medaled. He shot a 2-under 34 at Santa Ana Country Club in a victory against St. John Bosco and even-par 36

Johnny Hyun Beckman He shot a 4-under-par 32 at Tustin Ranch Golf Club to help the Patriots beat Woodbridge and then fired a 2-under-par 34 at Oak Creek Golf Club in a victory against Northwood.

Robert Deng St. Margaret's He posted the low score in two CIF Team tournaments last week. He carded a 2-under 70 at Talega Golf Club to help the Tartans finish second, and he followed that with a 2-under 69 at Mission Lake Country Club in Palm Desert to help the Tartans advance to the SCGA Southern California Regi

Samuel Kim Northwood He medaled in all three matches that the Timberwolves played last week, which included a 1-under round at Mesa Verde Country Club and a 2-under at Laguna Woods. He has played in six matches this season and has medaled in all othem.
