HUNTINGTON BEACH - All 14 of the night’s wrestling matches had been completed, but the winner of Marina vs. Los Alamitos still needed to be decided.
With the final score tied, 33-33, after a heavyweight forfeit victory for Los Alamitos’ Marquis Sablo, the teams had to follow the tiebreaking criteria.
Nixon (220) won all three matches fall Saturday to capture the Coast View Conference title. Last week, Nixon upset the county’s Nos.3 and 5 wrestlers to win the title at the Laguna Hills Invitational. He’s currently 27-4.

After a couple of years of having to cut down to get to his wrestling weight, the senior is now in a comfortable spot, competing at 160 pounds.
He has been in a couple of duals so far, but this weekend is the best chance for him and
