Kumashiro finished first at 195 pounds at the weekend’s CIF-SS Masters Meet to qualify for his second consecutive CIF State Tournament. Kumashiro defeated Nick Johnson of Murrieta Valley 2-1 in the finals.
TEMECULA – Mason Kumashiro became the first Los Alamitos wrestler to win a Southern Section title.
Just a couple of weight classes later, his teammate Alex Redmond quickly became the second.

Navickas (160) won his third CIF title when he defeated Jonathan Oliveira of Victor Valley, 12-7 in the finals at the CIF-SS Eastern Division Individual championships Saturday. Navickas won two matches fall and another by major decision to advance to the finals.
