Van der Goes is a senior tight end for the Lancers. He has been the starting tight end since his sophomore year. He has earned top Scholar-Athlete honors each year since his freshman year and has been on the Honor Roll each year of high school. He is enrolled in calculus, AP language, AP government, honors molecular genetics, business law, cultural intelligence and global communication, Spanish 4, faith entrepreneurial business academy and called to believe/theology 4. Van der Goes has been involved on campus in Student Life Office, Ignite Mentor, International Exchange Student Mentor. He is interested in pursuing a career in economics or business law. He has received an offer from Pomona College and has received interest from several other Division 1, Ivy and Patriot league schools.
