Scouting report: This will be the third season for Capistrano Valley Christian as an 11-man football program. Eric Preszler takes over the head coaching duties. The Eagles have ambitions of capturing their first San Joaquin League title. CVC will also take aim at its first playoff victory this year. “We have to get past the point of ‘we’re just happy to be there,’” said Preszler. It could happen this year behind a potent offense. The Eagles return Ben Sukut, the 2013 San Joaquin League player of the year, and quarterback Riley Babick is a four-year starter.
