ANAHEIM – Blake Meyer passed for 272 yards and two touchdowns, Tyler Clay ran for two touchdowns and Kevin Martinez returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown to lead Ocean View to a 38-8 victory over Loara in a Golden West League game Friday night at Glover Stadium.

Meyer completed 20 of 33 passes with one interception. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound junior threw touchdown passes of 24 and 6 yards to Cory Tocchetti in the first half. Clay, operating out of the wildcat, had touchdown runs of 11 and 5 yards. Tocchetti caught passes for 129 yards.

The Seahawks (5-2, 2-0) also ran for 211 yards. Miguel Cardoso had 81 yards on 16 carries and Seth Perkins gained 58 on 12.

Loara’s Josh Moran gained 92 yards on 11 carries and scored on a 2-yard run, but the Saxons (0-7, 0-2) had only 156 yards in total offense with 72 coming late in the fourth quarter.

Ocean View drove 72 yards on 11 plays on the initial possession of the game for its first touchdown. Meyer completed a crucial 7-yard pass to Clay on third-and-7 from the Seahawks’ 49 to keep the drive alive.
