WESTMINSTER – Fountain Valley scored virtually every way possible Friday en route to a 58-14 win over Marina in a Sunset League game at Westminster High.

The Barons ran for five touchdowns and also scored on a kickoff return, a punt return, an interception return and a 30-yard field goal, the last one courtesy of kicker Ben Filipek.

Quarterback Chad Olberding started the game on the bench after nursing an injury during the last few weeks, but came out strong in the second quarter. He completed 4 of 9 passes for 65 yards and also ran for 128 yards and a score.

Fountain Valley (5-2, 1-1) got things going when junior running back Dakari Barnett returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Barnett also rushed for 95 yards.

The Vikings got within 10 points on a touchdown pass from senior quarterback Nolan Winks to Noah Holmes with 41.9 seconds to go in the first half. But the second half was Barons, as they scored 34 points during the last 24 minutes.

Fountain Valley sophomore running back Moe Falleali finished with 92 yards on six carries, and Rob Finley caught four passes for 54 yards.

For Marina (0-7, 0-2), Winks went 14 for 28 for 219 yards. His favorite targets were Josh Gordon (41 yards on four receptions) and Mitchell Barnes (60 yards on three catches).
