WESTMINSTER – Huberto Maciel ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, Matt Dinh passed for 183 yards and two touchdowns and Ken Nguyen gained 64 yards on five carries and scored two touchdowns to lead Westminster to a 57-21 victory over Laguna Beach on Friday night in a nonleague game at Westminster High.

The Lions (2-1) led, 51-14, at halftime and Coach Ted McMillen played his reserves the entire second half.

Maciel, a 200-pound senior, had touchdown runs of 2 and 13 yards to put Westminster on top, 14-0, less than six minutes into the game.

The 5-foot-5, 155-pound Dinh completed 7 of 10 passes with one interception. He had a 58-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Dobson and a 26-yard touchdown pass to Dat Tran in the first quarter, which ended with Westminster ahead, 30-7.

Nguyen had touchdown runs of 17 and 44 yards in the second quarter. Reserve Raimond Sosene-Faegai scored on a 1-yard run and backup quarterback Josh Avila ran for 80 yards on 12 carries, including a 2-yard touchdown in the second half.

Jack Simon threw touchdown passes of 12 and 4 yards to Brett Tracy and a 73-yard scoring pass to Bruce Knill for Laguna Beach (1-2).
