Irvine picked up a 21-12 nonleague victory on the road over Rim of the World on Friday night.

Clinton Rahimi had a 23-yard interception return for a touchdown for Irvine (2-1) in the second quarter. Josh Gray had a 55-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter.

The Vaqueros capped the scoring when Mikey Filia hit Trent Colbert for a 25-yard touchdown pass late in the game.

Clinton Rahimi had three sacks and Filia, playing defense, recorded an interception in the end zone in the second quarter.

Filia completed 8 of 15 passes for 83 yards while Gray rushed for 46 yards on eight carries to lead the Vaqueros offense.

In other nonleague games:

Sunny Hills 48, Godinez 9: Jason Critter and Joe Ha each rushed for more than 100 yards, and the Lancers (3-0) rolled to a 42-0 lead at halftime as they beat the Grizzlies (0-3) at Segerstrom High.

Critter finished with 148 yards, Ha with 101 and David Cabral added 75 rushing yards.

Crean Lutheran 60, Fairmont Prep 30: Mark Sharp rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns, and Tanner Atkinson added two rushing touchdowns for the Saints (3-0).

The Saints led, 38-8, in the first quarter.

“We came out and jumped on them early,” Crean coach Brett Mertens said.

Quarterback Paul Sardo completed 13 of 20 passes for 188 yards and two TDs for Crean Lutheran.

Fairmont Prep’s Donnelious Celestine rushed for 138 yards and one score while Ramsey Glover caught two touchdowns.

South Torrance 61, Calvary Chapel 28: The host Eagles (2-1) fell to the Spartans (2-0) at Estancia.
