Bryan Salcido scored on a 36-yard run with 5:44 left in the fourth quarter as Saddleback defeated host Laguna Beach, 38-31, in an Orange Coast League on Friday.
The Roadrunners (4-3, 2-0) also received a 15-yard touchdown run by Pedro Leon on their opening drive and a 1-yard touchdown run by Chris Rios later in the first quarter. Rios’ run capped a 13-play, 80-yard drive.
Laguna Beach fell to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in league. The Roadrunners beat Laguna Beach for the first time since joining the Orange Coast in 2011.
