Yan, a sophomore goalie, helped lead the Cougars to a pair of big victories last week. Yan had 19 saves in a 10-8 victory over Aliso Niguel to move Capistrano Valley into a tie for first place in the South Coast League. Yan followed that with five saves, two ground balls and one interception in a 10-6 victory over Temecula Valley.
