Notable: The Patriots have won seven consecutive games. Shea O’Donnell leads the team with 79 goals. Janich Shih has scored 64. O’Donnell has 78 ground balls. …The Monarchs’ top scorers are all sophomores. Grace Houser, Lauren Gonzales, Kenzie Wallevand and Maddi Hooks have all scored at least 40 goals.

Notable: The teams also met in the preseason Rose Bowl Tournament with the Knights winning 9-3. The Griffins suffered a big blow when senior Dominique Loney went down with an injury in the second round. Will she be able to give it a try on only one day rest? The Griffins have six consecutive Southern Section and county titles.

What’s at stake: The winners will face each other, Wednesday in the O.C. final at Tustin HS at 5:30 p.m.
