The Griffins can lock up the Sunset League title with a win against Huntington Beach on Tuesday.
3. Mission Viejo, 20-4
After its 34-game league win streak was snapped last Tuesday, the Diablos bounced back with a nice win over No. 9 Capistrano Valley.
4. La Habra, 24-1
The Highlanders have surrendered a total of 28 runs in 25 games played this season. Dominating stuff from pitcher Janelle Rodriguez and company.
5. Huntington Beach, 20-4
The Oliers can reposition themselves atop the Sunset League standings with a win against Los Alamitos on Tuesday.
6. Pacifica, 17-4
The Mariners have reeled off eight wins in a row, and will play Mission Viejo this Wednesday in a nonleague tune up for playoffs.
7. Mater Dei, 21-6
The Monarchs went 0-2 last week, but will have an opportunity to get back to its winning ways against Rosary on Wednesday.
8. Santa Margarita, 16-8
The Eagles moved into second place in the Trinity League with a win over Mater Dei last Tuesday.
9. Capistrano Valley, 14-7
Meetings with Dana Hills, Aliso Niguel and Chino this week will serve the Cougars well moving forward into the postseason.
