Teams that Lions, out of playoffs because of coin flips, beat in final two weeks of regular season won playoff games Friday – Mater Dei and Orange Lutheran. This week: season over.

6. La Habra (10-1, 45)

Highlanders played like top-seeded team they are in 49-0 win over Kennedy in Southwest Division first-round game. This week: at Laguna Hills, Friday

Every team that beat Friars won a playoff game Friday, except De La Salle of Concord; that’s because De La Salle had first-round bye in CIF-North Coast Section playoffs. This week: season over

8. Santa Margarita (5-5, 36)

Eagles finished last in Trinity League, missed playoffs but made some news with firing of Rick Curtis less than one week after end of Curtis’ second season. This week: season over

9. San Juan Hills (8-3, 16)

Stallions’ best season, including first time in county top 10 and state top 25, ended with 38-28 loss to Valencia of Valencia in West Valley Division first round. This week: season over

10. San Clemente (9-2, 6)

Tritons powered their way to 52-0 over Sunny Hills in Southwest Division first round, get ready to play another Freeway League team in second round. This week: vs. Sonora at La Habra High, Friday
