2. Mater Dei (8-2, 93)
Monarchs, who finished second in the Trinity League, got down to business in a 45-14 win over Santa Margarita in which they had eight sacks. This week: vs. Lakewood, at Santa Ana Stadium, Friday
3. Tesoro (8-2, 71)
Devon Modster passed for 390 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three TDs in Titans’ 66-27 win over San Juan Hills to take second place in the South Coast League. They are the third seed in West Valley Division. This week: vs. Great Oak of Temecula, Friday
4. Orange Lutheran (5-5, 68)
Lancers lost to JSerra, 45-40, but got the Trinity League’s third and final playoff spot via coin flips. The playoff game will be their fifth this season played outside of Orange County. This week: at St. Bonaventure of Ventura, Friday
5. JSerra (7-3, 59)
In 2013, Lions won final two Trinity League games to finish in tie for third place, lost coin flips, tried for at-large berth, didn’t get it; same thing happened to them this year with wins over playoff-bound Mater Dei and Orange Lutheran. This week: season over
6. Servite (4-6, 49)
It was a black Friday for the guys who wear black. The Friars got shelled by a team that shells just about everyone, St. John Bosco, 70-7, then lost coin flips that knocked them from playoff contention. This week: season over
7. La Habra (9-1, 42)
Highlanders shut out Troy, 42-0, to win another Freeway League championship, extend their Orange County-record league winning streak to 45 games and snag the top-seed in Southwest Division playoffs. This week: vs. Kennedy, Friday
8. Santa Margarita (5-5, 39)
Eagles will miss the playoffs for the second year in a row after they were overwhelmed by Mater Dei in second half of 45-14 loss in Trinity League finale. This week: season over
9. San Juan Hills (8-2, 15)
Stallions lost big to Tesoro, 66-27, but that does not diminish huge improvement over last year when Stallions went 4-6 in regular season. This week: at Valencia of Valencia, Friday
10. Edison (7-0, 10)
Chargers beat Newport Harbor, 27-17, to complete 5-0 run through Sunset League and take another league championship. This week: vs. Rancho Cucamonga, at Orange Coast College, Friday
