Good news in the loss to Servite was a good second half for quarterback KJ Costello, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns after halftime. This week: vs. Mater Dei at Trabuco Hills High, Friday.

7. JSerra (6-3, 43)

Lions sure seem to have Mater Dei figured out, having beaten the Monarchs by seven points for the second year in a row. This week: vs. Orange Lutheran at Saddleback College, Friday

8. La Habra (8-1, 33)

Highlanders tied OC record for consecutive league wins, 44, with 42-0 triumph over Sunny Hills; average margin of victory in league games is 30 points. This week: vs. Troy, Friday

9. San Juan Hills (8-1, 25)

Stallions cruised to 55-15 win over Dana Hills, setting up crucial South Coast League matchup against Tesoro. This week: at Tesoro, Friday

10. Edison (6-3, 5)

Big plays on offense, defense and special teams led to Bell Game win over Fountain Valley, 33-7, to return Chargers to top 10. This week: at Newport Harbor, Friday
