Diablos ascend to No. 1 position for first time this season after win over El Toro gives them 10-0 finish and previous-No. 1 Mater Dei’s loss to JSerra. This week: bye

2. Mater Dei (7-2, 93)

Loss to JSerra drops Monarchs to No. 2, and will also have negative impact on how they are seeded in Pac-5 Division playoffs. This week: vs. Santa Margarita at Trabuco Hills High, Friday

3. Orange Lutheran (5-4, 80)

In 31-12 loss to St. John Bosco, Bosco scored four touchdowns with one field goal in five trips to the red zone; that’s efficiency that few would beat. This week: vs. JSerra at Saddleback College, Friday

4. Servite (4-5, 59)

Defense created turnovers, Simpson threw three touchdown passes and ran for another in 30-20 win over Santa Margarita to greatly improve playoff chances. This week: vs. St. John Bosco at Cerritos College, Friday

Titans, 2-1 in South Coast League, had a bye week before this week’s game against 2-1 San Juan Hills, matchup of top quarterbacks Devon Modster of Tesoro and Patrick O’Brien of San Juan Hills. This week: vs. San Juan Hills, Friday

6. Santa Margarita (5-4, 51)

Good news in the loss to Servite was a good second half for quarterback KJ Costello, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns after halftime. This week: vs. Mater Dei at Trabuco Hills High, Friday.

7. JSerra (6-3, 43)

Lions sure seem to have Mater Dei figured out, having beaten the Monarchs by seven points for the second year in a row. This week: vs. Orange Lutheran at Saddleback College, Friday

8. La Habra (8-1, 33)

Highlanders tied OC record for consecutive league wins, 44, with 42-0 triumph over Sunny Hills; average margin of victory in league games is 30 points. This week: vs. Troy, Friday

9. San Juan Hills (8-1, 25)

Stallions cruised to 55-15 win over Dana Hills, setting up crucial South Coast League matchup against Tesoro. This week: at Tesoro, Friday

10. Edison (6-3, 5)

Big plays on offense, defense and special teams led to Bell Game win over Fountain Valley, 33-7, to return Chargers to top 10. This week: at Newport Harbor, Friday

Tritons got some revenge for last year’s CIF-SS final loss to Trabuco Hills with 48-7 win over Mustangs. This week: vs. Aliso Niguel, Friday
