It is believed the Eagles will score plenty of points this year, and they lived up to that with a 40-14 road win against Cathedral Catholic of San Diego.

Lancers got a 21-13 road win over feisty Dominguez of Compton.

5. Tesoro (1-0, 50)
A great season opener for quarterback Devon Modster and the Titans as they handled Edison, 35-16.

Griffins did not play last week. They play at Veterans Stadium on Thursday against Paramount, which was No. 6 in the CIF-SS Southeast Division preseason rankings.
