Saddleback Valley Christian advanced to the CIF-SS East Valley Division semifinals with a 38-35 win over Silver Valley of Yermo on Friday at Silver Valley High.

That result creates a matchup of Orange County football’s only two undefeated teams. Saddleback Valley Christian (12-0) plays St. Margaret’s (12-0) in the semifinals next Friday. Saddleback Valley Christian is the home team.

It was Saddleback Valley Christian’s closest game of the season. The Warriors had defeated Capistrano Valley Christian by four points in a San Joaquin League game. The 35 points was the second-most allowed by Saddleback Valley Christian this season.

The venue will be finalized early this coming week; the Warriors have played most of their home games at San Juan Hills High.

The Warriors survived a big night by Silver Valley’s RJ Henry, who returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
