OCVarsity’s Jeremy Balan makes five predictions about the West Valley Division playoffs:

1. Which four teams will make it to the West Valley semifinals? Upland, Tesoro, Chino Hills, Valencia.

Mission Viejo-Valencia and Los Alamitos-El Toro will be the best games of the first two rounds.

2. Which team will win the West Valley title? Chino Hills.

The Huskies will take down Tesoro in the final and it will be very close.

3. Which team will be the “surprise team” in the West Valley Division? El Toro.

Los Alamitos hasn’t been tested often this season and might be ripe for an upset against an El Toro team that took Mission Viejo and Tesoro to the wire.

4. Which player will be the postseason MVP in the West Valley Division? Trent Goens, Chino Hills.

In a division stacked with quarterbacks, a stud pass rusher like Goens will be a game breaker.

5. Which O.C. player shouldn’t be overlooked in the West Valley Division? Jake Favreau, Edison.

If healthy, Favreau has the capability to make game-changing plays on both sides of the ball.
