The Brea Olinda girls volleyball team was able to bounce back after two of the first three sets to upset sixth-ranked Villa Park in Tuesday’ home match.

Abby Broadstreet led the Wildcats with 26 kills and added 17 digs in the 25-23, 21-25, 9-25, 29-27, 15-12 victory.

Alyssa Rifilato added 14 kills and led Brea Olinda with 21 digs. Bri Nabbout (20) and Missy Andrews (11) also had double digits in digs.

In the Sunset League

Los Alamitos 3, No. 8 Newport Harbor 2: It was another five-set night for the Griffins and for the second consecutive match they were victorious, edging the Sailors, 27-25, 20-25, 15-25, 25-22, 15-7.

Sydney Beyma led the Griffins with 19 kills.

Los Alamitos and Newport Harbor now tied for second at 4-2. Also, Edison (3-3) swept seventh-ranked Huntington Beach (5-1) in another league match.

In the Sea View League

No. 1 Aliso Niguel 3, Laguna Hills 0: The Wolverines (22-1, 5-0) remained perfect in league play with their 25-19, 25-14, 25-19 road victory.

Lindsey Ruddins had 15 kills, six digs and four blocks for the Wolverines. Olivia Amador led with 10 digs. Kathryn Plummer had three aces, five kills, four blocks, five digs and 16 assists.

Trabuco Hills 3, Mission 0: Allie Kantor helped keep the Mustangs (17-5, 4-1) in striking distance of the first place Aliso Niguel with 13 kills in the 25-15, 25-19, 25-14 home victory.

Jillian Wheaton added nine kills for Trabuco Hills.
