With a five-year winning streak on the line last Tuesday against No. 3 Woodbridge, University had to claw for a win without their top four players, who were participating in a top junior tournament in Palm Desert. Luu, usually a part of Uni’s top doubles team and a team captain, stepped into the No. 1 singles spot and ran the table, losing just three games in his three set wins. Thanks in large part to Luu’s play, University stayed unbeaten, defeating Woodbridge 10-8.
