Wife of Tustin coach Miller dies
Kathy Miller, the wife of Tustin football coach Myron Miller, died Monday morning after battling bladder cancer.
She was 63 and had been married to Myron for 31 years.
"She was our core, a great person in the background," former Tustin assistant coach Greg Hoyd said. "She was always there supporting Myron, the team and the coaching staff."
There is a memorial service scheduled for Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Tustin Banquet Center (721 W. 1st St., Tustin). For more information, call Tustin High at 714-730-7422.
All cards can be sent to Miller to the school (1171 El Camino Real, Tustin, CA 92780). Principal Jonathan Blackmore said school officials will make sure the cards get to the family.
Myron Miller was the Register's 2011 football coach of the year after leading the Tillers to the CIF-SS Southwest Division title.
