Corona del Mar gets a roll, beats Troy

Corona del Mar vs. Troy

FULLERTON-Corona del Mar scored on four consecutive touches just before halftime and into the third quarter to defeat Troy, 49-20, in a nonleague game at Fullerton High.

The Sea Kings recovered a fumble with 20 seconds remaining in the half, and Mitch Sands connected with Dillon Norton on a TD pass to give Corona del Mar(3-0) a 21-6 halftime lead.

Norton returned the second-half kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown and added a 57-yard punt return after Troy was stopped on its ensuing possession.Troy then fumbled on its next possession, and Sands completed the scoring burst with a 36-yard strike to Noah Molnar, giving Corona del Mar four touchdowns in four plays.

DeAngelo Bonner had 91 yards rushing and two touchdowns for Troy (0-2).
