The CIF-Southern Section releases its transfer statistics from this past summer.
The number of transfers grew.
This past July, the CIF-SS office processed 200 transfer requests. In July of 2014, it processed 119 transfer requests. That is a 41 percent increase.
This past August, the section office processed 1,645 transfer requests. In August of ’14, it processed 1,266 transfer requests. That is a 23 percent increase.
The percentage of transfer requests made by parents who incorrectly believe their children are bound for Olympic or pro sports stardom was not part of the report. It would be fairly substantial.
