Girls lacrosse notes: Trabuco Hills upsets defending champion Foothill

Trabuco Hills girls lacrosse team recorded an early-season upset with a 8-7 victory over top-ranked Foothill on Tuesday night.

Juliet Mooney scored four goals, three in the first half, to lead Trabuco Hills in victory. Kendall Derbyshire added two goals.

Ashley Bell had seven saves for Trabuco Hills.

Sophie Forester led Foothill with five goals.

Trabuco Hills improves to 3-0 this season. Foothill is 1-1.

Aliso Niguel sophomore Quinnlyn Mason has committed to Cal.

Mason scored 18 goals in three games to lead the Wolverines to the Brine bracket championship at the Rose Bowl Jamboree. Mason played for the Orange County U-15 National Team.
