MARCOS POLANCO
Servite, Fr., 106
Polanco was first or second at five tournaments. He captured a Trinity League title and finished second at the CIF Individuals. He had a fourth-place finish at Clovis West Shootout. Polanco finished fifth at CIF-SS Masters and went 4-2 at the state tournament.
LIAM CRONIN
Servite, Sr., 113
Cronin carried over the success from his junior season. He won titles at some of the toughest tournaments, including Clovis West Shootout, Five Counties Invitational and Sierra Nevada. He helped Servite win its second consecutive CIF Dual title. Cronin was a Trinity League champion and won a CIF individual title. He was third at Masters and finished second at the state tournament for the second consecutive year.
ANTHONY LE
Laguna Hills, Jr., 120
Le made a big jump this season, finisthing fifth at Carter Classic and third at Mann Classic and Tournament of Champions. He won a league title, posted a second-place finish at CIF, was fifth at Masters and went 3-2 at the state tournament.
RICKY NAVARRETE
Santa Ana, Sr., 126
Navarrete was consistent throughout the season. He opened with a title at the Westminster Cossarek Classic and followed that by winning the Mann Classic. He was second at the SoCal Challenge and fifth at Five Counties. Navarrete was first at the Golden West League finals and followed that by winning his first CIF Individual title. He was fourth at Masters and went 3-2 at the state tournament.
JOSH LUTON
Villa Park, Sr., 132
As a junior, Luton didn’t make it out of the CIF-SS Individuals. This season he won the Century Conference title and followed that by winning a CIF title. Luton advanced to the finals at Masters and had a 4-2 record at the state tournament. Luton was third at the El Dorado Invitational and Lakeside, second at Inland Empire Tournament of Champions, first at Scott Davis Invitational and fourth at Five Counties.
ETHYN EWING
Canyon, Sr., 138
Ewing started the season by posting a second-place finish at El Dorado Invitational, and firsts at La Costa Canyon, Mann Classic and Tournament of Champions. Ewing had a fifth-place finish at the Temecula Battle for the Belt and second-place finishes at the Century Conference finals and CIF Individuals. Ewing was third at Masters and eighth at the state tournament.
PHILLIP ZAMORA
Laguna Hills, Sr., 145
In his eight of his nine tournaments before state, Zamora made it to the finals. He was second at the Carter Classic and first at the Tom Bravo Classic, Mann Classic, Tournament of Champions, Laguna Hills Invitational, Coast View League finals and CIF-SS Individuals. Zamora was a finalist at Masters and went 2-2 at the state tournament.
TYLER MEISINGER
San Clemente, Sr., 152
Consistency was the name of the game for Meisinger. He was first at eight tournaments and earned MVP honors at three of them. Meisinger was first at the Coast View League finals and CIF, and fourth at Masters. He finished fourth at the state tournament by going on a 5-1 run through the consolation bracket.
ANGEL CORDOVA
Servite, Sr., 160
Cordova finished fifth at the Clovis West Shootout and fourth at the Sierra Nevada Classic. He was first at the Mann Classic and at the Trinity League finals. He was second at CIF, fifth at Masters and went 3-2 at the state tournament.
LUKAS HOWA
Trabuco Hills, Sr., 170
Howa won three titles at 182 pounds. At 170, he was third at Tournament of Champions, second at Five Counties and third at Coast View League finals. He was second at CIF, fifth at Masters and finished sixth at the state tournament, becoming Trabuco Hills’ first state medalist.
MORRIS WILNER
Calvary Chapel, Sr., 182
This is Wilner’s second consecutive All-County first team selection. He represented the 152-pound class last season. This season, Wilner finished first at the El Dorado Invitational, Morro Bay and second at the Edison Beach Bash and Mann Classic. He won the Orange Coast League title, finished second at CIF and fourth at Masters. He had a 4-1 run in the consolation bracket at state and finished sixth.
JOEY DANIEL
Santa Ana, So., 195
Daniel closed the season in strong fashion. The only thing missing was a spot in the top eight at the state tournament. Daniel was first at the Golden West League finals and CIF Individuals. He was a finalist at Masters and went 3-2 at the state tournament. Daniel had a third-place finish at the Westminster Cossarek Classic, second at the Mann Classic, first at the SoCal Challenge and seventh at Five Counties.
CONOR DONNELLY
El Modena, Sr., 220
Donnelly was first at the Mann Classic and Troy Invitational, and second at the Nogales Super Champs Tournament. He was first at the Century Conference finals and won a CIF Individual title. He went 3-3 at Masters, dropping a 3-2 decision in the match to place ninth and qualify for the state tournament.
COLE BRISBINE
Fountain Valley, Sr., Heavyweight
Brisbine opened the season by winning the title at the Cossarek Classic. He had a fourth-place finish at the SoCal Challenge. Brisbine won the Sunset League finals and finished fifth at CIF Individuals. At the Masters Meet, he went 3-3, narrowly missing qualifying for the state tournament.
