He was named tournament most valuable player at the North Orange County Championships, with the Cougars won with a 65-53 victory over Canyon in the tournament championship game Saturday. Lipovic, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, scored 14 points in that game, but it was his defense throughout the tournament that was most responsible for him earning the tourney MVP honor.
