Scouting report: Magnolia will have a new look this season after losing most of its top skill position starters from last season. Defensive linemen Montez De Marrco and Anton Nguyen and outside linebacker Kalolo Pangia provide toughness in the front seven. Senior Fernando Garcia takes over at quarterback after playing for the JV the past two seasons. Senior receiver Enoch Torres has some good size (6-foot-1, 175 pounds), which will make him a potential playmaker at receiver and in the secondary. Senior Mekhi Pelzer should be an intriguing receiving threat once he returns. He is expected back during nonleague play.
