Brumm guided the cohesive Knights (27-8) to Division I and Sea View League titles in his 22nd season. It was Foothill's first section title since 1995. Brumm was selected Division I coach of the year.
GRAFTON WEISS
Katella
The late Weiss helped the Knights (22-11) capture Division VII for their first section title. The Empire League champion also became the first Anaheim Union High School District team to claim a CIF water polo title. Weiss, 49, died a week after the title from hypertensive and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. He also was selected Division VII coach of the year.
