For the second time in the young season, the Orange Lutheran and Espranza girls volleyball teams faced off, this time in a nonleague match.

Unlike the first time, the Lancers (10-4) got the best of the 10th-ranked Aztecs.

Kaylie Milton had 18 kills and 11 digs and Brooke Bastien had 10 kills to lead the Lancers to a 25-22, 25-18, 25-14 road victory.

Sydnee Boley had two aces, 27 assists and nine digs in the victory.

In other nonleague action

Whittier Christian 3, La Habra 0: Mandy Sides’ 12 kills helped the Heralds (7-0) remained undefeated with the 25-18, 25-13, 25-20 victory.

Makenna Coleman and Christa Evans had six kills apiece. Delaney Harris had 30 assists and 11 digs. Molly Patapoff had five aces and 27 digs.

Mission Viejo 3, Irvine 0: Shaina White had 17 kills and Ali Neilson added 15 in the 25-14, 25-17, 25-20 home victory for the Diablos (6-3). Both players had four aces.

Valencia 3, Katella 1: Mikelle Taylor and Kylie Keller had 15 kills apiece to lead the Tigers to the 25-14, 25-21, 24-26, 25-8 victory.
