1. Orange Lutheran: Jeremiah Harris is a top athlete in the 100, while Myles Hawkins shines in the long, triple and high jumps. Carl Johansson and David Bean are standouts in the pole vault.
2. Dana Hills: Coach Craig Dunn will field a strong team with athletes such as Justin Hunter (sprints), Jake Harbin and Jacob Ogden (1,600, 3,200).
3. Mater Dei: Malik McMorris (throws) and Curtis Godin (sprints) anchor a very talented team.
4. Mission Viejo: Diablos coach Mike Hoffman hopes his team can peak later in the season, so senior sprinters Logan Obbards and Alex Suchesk will be key.
5. Woodbridge: Alex Young (sprints) will look to improve upon his first-team All-County freshman year.
6. Corona del Mar: Senior Matt Hurst and junior Barret Barbato, will be tough in the 400 and 200, respectively.
7. Edison: AJ Beynon made state finals in the high jump, and Eamon Smythe went to masters in the 800. Cooper Kossick is a standout in the 800 and 1,600.
8. Esperanza: Coach Rich Medellin usually puts together a solid team, and this year will be no different as senior William Truong returns to throw shot put and discus.
9. Brea Olinda: Austin Tamagno impressed as a freshman last year in the 1,600. Teammate Brennon Koryta isn’t too bad himself.
10. Santa Margarita: Parker Curry had a great junior season in the pole vault. The Eagles also should get help from newcomer Jeremy McNichols.
