McDonald finished sixth at the CIF-SS Division 4 finals to qualify for the CIF State Cross Country Championships in her first season on the team while continuing to be a stellar performer in the classroom and community. Her classes include: AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics, AP English 4, AP Government, World Religion, ASB, and Ceramics. She is a student trainer in the school’s Athletic Medicine program and is a member of the Make-A-Wish club and the Life Savers club. McDonald, who is also team captain of the Royals soccer team, is considering Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, and Gonzaga. Her potential majors are Kinesiology or Engineering.
