In addition to being the team captain for the Lightning, Mowrey has been a distinguished example of high achievement in both her academics and around her community. She is currently taking AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, AP Statistics, AP Economics, AP English, and Theatre Ensemble. She is captain of the school’s Mock Trial team, president of the Red Cross club, a member of the Honor Committee, and serves as a student ambassador. Mowrey, who is also the team captain of the soccer team and garnered all-Academy League honors last season, has volunteered her time to build orphanages in the villages of Costa Rica and in Vietnam. Her top college choices include: Duke, Stanford, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Tufts University, and the University of Virginia. Her potential majors are Social Justice, Pre-Med, and Psychology.
