Huntington Beach’s boys lacrosse team improved its record to 6-0 with a 10-9 non-league road victory over Palos Verdes Tuesday night.

Steven Koressel led the scoring with four goals.

A.J. Schaffner and Jace Gan had two goals each and Taylor Refice and Carsten Beith each had one goal for No. 5 Huntington Beach.

Koressel, a senior midfielder, was first team all-league last year and the Oilers’ top scorer.

Other top players include Gan, a senior who is expected to be one of the top attack players in the Sunset League; senior midfielders Tim Francis and Beith; and junior defensemen David Abady, Dallas Heyden and Ryan Harchut.

The goalie is sophomore Trevor Jackson.

The team’s next game is Friday at 7 p.m. against Trabuco Hills at Huntington Beach.
