In addition to helping the Eagles claim a share of the Trinity League title, Sykes has been quite accomplished in the classroom and in her community.
She is currently enrolled in AP Calculus, AP/IB English, AP Macroeconomics, IB Spanish SL, Honors Physics, Advanced Handbells, and Religion IV. A four-year member of the California Scholastic Federation and the National Honors Society, along with the recipient of numerous academic awards at the school, Sykes has volunteered as a student and adult leader at the Coast Hills Community Church in Aliso Viejo and the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest. She also serves as a volunteer nurse in the pediatric ward of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Mission Viejo and a tennis tutor and coach for the Boys and Girls Club in San Juan Capistrano.
